I am not sure if this is a method on BHW or not, but if so then link me to it. I kind of just thought of this and want to give it a try. Ok so here is what I am going to do.
1. Make an ebook about making money online and stuff the thing with affiliate links every chance I get
2. Put it on tons of torrent and download sites and say that you are allowed to resell it, put it on your blog or do whatever you want with it.
How many downloads should I expect from this? Would this work? I am considering trying this because I haven't heard of anyone doing this.

Don't know about threads on this site but I have seen this method before.

Biggest problem you will probably face nowadays is getting your uploaded torrents to stick. The torrent sites are getting very good at detecting spam these days and will remove your torrents and ban your account fast.
 
Circa 2007/08. Yes, this has been done a lot. I am not saying it will not make you money. The "make money online" ebook niche or even the make money online niche alone is something that has been done more times than a prostitute. You should take that and tweak that idea of yours a little bit.

You can write a book on SEO for, let's say for dentists, and then scrape a list of them from Google & send it to them.
They will implement your idea, and some of them would like to work with you. You can outsource it etc.
Brainstorm..
 
Well thanks for the input but I think I'm going to do it regardless... How can I get more downloads? Do I just upload it to the torrent and let it sit?

You can build a website around the idea, and market your torrents through url shorteners. Do not use Adsense on the website you plan on doing that with. With the website, you can post the torrent on youtube by using a trending topic related to videos (WWE Summerslam 2014 FULL). These are just ideas. You can also get a proxy, register an account with each torrent site you upload to, and comment on it/rate your own torrent. These ideas can use some polishing but they can work.
 
If I were to just upload the torrent and do nothing else how many downloads should I expect a day?
 
this is an old method now so it will be a bit difficult to make money from it. anyway you can give it a try

Maybe you both should read the thread and then comment on the ideas given or give some of your own ideas if you have knowledge on ways to monetize torrents.
 
The majority of people on torrents want movies and games.

If you want to sell water, you find a bunch of thirsty people in the desert. That's my advice.
