hello friends, I want to ask a question. Recently my friend asked me if we can build a site like swagbucks that pays users when they complete a certain task.

If I create a social networking site like facebook which rewards you points for completing some tasks like completing surveys and sharing the surveys with their friends.

For example,
I am a normal user and I receive a notification whenever a survey is available for my country. When I complete a survey, I share it with my friends from same country. If they complete the survey, I get 10% of their reward.

Will it become successful, if I try to build such site. I am thinking about a lots of features to add in this site.

This way, people will get rewards while using a social network.

It would, if you can find the right audience to market to.
so, i will ask my friends first, if they will join my network or not. If they want such site, i will start to work on it. thanks for your reply sir

That concept exists, but that is PTC site, not a social network site.

If you want to work on something like that better focuss on task part and not social network. You won't beat any of the currently most popular social networks.

I know, but people addicted to social networks will surely want to use it

But I want to turn paid-to sites in a social network. Promoting products on such sites will be a lot easy. For example, a user buys a T-shirt, then he refers to his friends about this T-shirt with a pic of him wearing this shirt. Whenever someone buys the T-shirt through his link, he get a commission

Sounds like a huge project, are you sure you can handle it?

I am starting to study about this right now on Lynda and udemy (torrent)

Just leave that there is site called incomeon u can try like tooo but idea is good luck

Making money from those make sense in theory. The issue lies with the high turn over rate of site users. People don't stick around if they don't make much. The real value lies in constantly accruing traffic and holding onto them as long as you can milking them for what you can I suppose.

It's not a new idea and it has some potential, but are you sure you can see real scale of such project? Like from day one when you will open your website there must be crowd of interested users and interested companies. If not, both sides will not see value. To achieve that you will need some huge promo. To do that kind of promo, you will need some serious money. To get that type of funding you need someone to invest in your idea. Is it crowd funding, is it bank, is it some business angels, you must to have decent business plan. There is no decent business plan with out proper research. And if we talk about social network, it's not just market research or research of previous and existing such networks. It's also human behavior research. And of course cost-benefit analysis. And only when your whole idea will be crystal clear, actual website building coming in place. It can be journey of life time. But it's not one man operation for sure.

People don't like surveys. Probably won't work, but you can always try.
