Well, I need to make profit first before any conspiracy. But the 'fiat' in your bank account is just like these crypto since you don't have them physically. Even your physical cash is only as useful/powerful as long as your government is willing to stand by it. The entire financial market and world is heavily reliant on trust. Nothing more.
yeah but at least they can't prevent us from buying what we want, putting quotas to the amounts we can spend, force us to buy specific stuff instead of the ones we want, make our money expire after a certain date, link our bank account to how we behave in society, that kind of things.Well, I need to make profit first before any conspiracy. Yep I was talking about fiat/cash, which gives us some kind of freedom.Hmmm... I assume you're talking about fiat money here, and not crypto.
Well... some banks restrict the way in which you spend your money in your bank account, by setting limits on the amount of money you can access though ATM withdrawals, or bank teller withdrawals, where you can spend it on, etc.
Some banks will even block your cards without you knowing it, or seize your money if they think you owe them (this happened to a relative just recently).
Why do they do this? Why would any bank do this with money that's not theirs?
Crypto offers a little more freedom than the traditional fiat money, and digital banking. It's not perfect, but I feel it's a slightly better alternative to some degree, for now.
I also feel that the best asset anyone can posses is KNOWLEDGE (said in Tai Lopez voice). Anything else can be taken away by a stronger power (government, gang, anyone with a guns).
I honestly I agree with this. And this is why money will forever be an intermediary for me. I mean, who the hell holds any kind of currency for the sake of just having it there? We are supposed to do stuff with our lives, right? If not the money, you as a human should have value in some way.
Even if it's all fake, your knowledge and wisdom should lead you to something decent in this life. Just my thoughts.
I usually think about these things too. Good point.

Yes some banks can restrict the amount you withdraw per day, but nothing compared to what they could do with a digital currency indexed on your social score or any other scam. Add climate change scam for example, so will be able to restrict you from going from point A to point B in order to "protect environment", if you don't respect that they will deactivate your wallet for x days, preventing you from buying food; then what can you do?
This scenario is not conspiracy, they already think of this in EU (in fact the real conspirators are not us).
And people who laugh at this are the real useful idiots mentionned in the OP.
For fiat you can still make an appointment with your bank and withdraw important amounts if needed, even everything.
They will never mass use monero, unfortunately. Only coin that could make sense indeed.Monero is untraceable digital freedom currency that no organization or government can track. It's actually more private and safer than using cash. All darknet markets are selling drugs, guns, stolen identities, etc. using this and no technology exists that can stop them.
The problem with all cryptocurrencies, including Monero and BTC is that right now we still kneel to centralized exchanges, with KYC and strong AML policies. So at this moment, you are correct that cash is king from a privacy/freedom standpoint.
The hope is that crypto will one day detach from any government intervention through decentralized exchanges and more sophisticated forms of P2P that don't involve KYC. If and when that happens, crypto will offer the average person 100x more control, freedom, and resistance to censorship than the current financial system.
It's literally money that they can't print, freeze, reverse, or strip you of. The current problem is the infrastructure around it
The limited supply of BTC is a good thing but it's a detail compared to all the drawbacks of this coin. No privacy at all is one of them. Why this people can't understand that BTC is technology is not like other shit coins
You cannot print BTC as they do with physical paper
You cannot multiple BTC as they do with Ethereum or other coins
