My personal experience Ahrefs and KWfinder is good. Each time I have checked through the manual as well.

If you are looking for keywords that would hardy require backlinks then volume above 100 and below 500 should be good with low competition. If you have the budget for linkbuilding then efforts would rather be directed at keywords with good search volumes, 1000+ as a minimum with competition score below 20 idealy on the various keyword research tools.

1) Do I like this niche? Am I willing to delve into the field and learn various things which may actually improve my personal life? Does it impart any skills on me?
2) Total searches. Total USA searches. Total Local USA searches. A 49k Global search term with only 1k US searches is near useless in my book.
That's pretty much it.

1) = yes it's easier to focus / write on something you have an actual interest / passion in.
2) I dig down looking for specific buyer intent keywords, so I am happy sometimes with smaller search numbers in low hundreds, as these are people looking for specifics.

well these are some great answers I think my favorite is Ahrefs among them and i would prefer $25+

If you prefer $25+ then, your commission rate goes to low.
Please pick a keyword with good volume search in US not global.
Please remember that Low competition keywords are very important for ranking.
Hmmmmm! If you feel hard to pick the niche. Think yourself... what're your favs (Ex: Cameras, Toys, Home Accessories)? Then, start research about that niche and pick gold keywords.
