You have to come up with your own dreams, my friend. Others can give you ideas, but ultimately, it's up to you.
I'm pretty thankful.. I've lived some of mine already, some of them others would have no interest in at all. I spent four years in a hospital when I was a kid and told I would never walk again; my dream was to stop using a bedpan and be able to walk across the hall to the washroom.
I accomplished that.. and then took up jogging and learned to play soccer at 14 years old, and then my dream was to make the senior soccer team. I did that, and we went to our Provincial finals, two years in a row... I was the least skilled player, but the coach liked my "heart" I guess
I "ran away" from home too, when a teenager, and got a job on a ranch out west. I was an honest to goodness cowboy for a while. Rode horses, rounded up cattle, helped tattoo them, carried a rifle "on the range" to shoot varmints that would dig holes that would harm horses, and worked hard but loved it.
Got a job in law enforcement after learning to sell Filter Queen vacuum cleaners.. learned some people skills.. enjoyed that too... although saw stuff that I'd never want anyone to see. Hid some of the stresses.. PTSD probably kicked in a few times over.
Started a home based business which I gave up on, wanted to quit my job for personal reasons, and did that.
I've travelled a bit.. but not extensively.. always wanted to do that, but today, my dreams are a bit more conservative. I'd like to take my ten year old son with me someday, back to the land of my birth, Northern Ireland... a place I love and feel so at home in. It's been five years since I've been back.
Like to help my older son's band get some more recognition. Maybe go on a road trip with them and just work as one of their roadies, LOL.
Build myself a log cabin on the edge of the woods and have a few egg laying chickens, a pig or two, maybe a donkey to laugh at, and a huge garden to tend.
Some might laugh at my dreams, but they are mine... you gotta have yours and yours alone!!
