Thin content with little or no added value

I guess everyone has a choice to make, but like I said, personally, I'd just dump the domain and move on.

I guess you really need to weigh up whether it's worth the time and effort, and then decide for yourself. I mean, you've got to add the extra content / sort the site out, then submit your re-inclusion request, then wait, then maybe getting re-included (or maybe not), and then end up having a domain that's on google's radar and possibly wont ever perform properly again anyway.

To me it just doesn't seem worth it for a shitty little site that you didn't build properly in the first place, but I guess the amount of effort you put in to rank it in the first place could also be a deciding factor.

Domains are cheap and ranking is easy, hence why I'd say to just build the site properly on a new domain if you want it to be a long term project. Or don't build it properly, rank it quickly in a few weeks, and if / when it gets hit again just repeat the process. lol

Caveat: If it's a branded company site then it's probably worth trying to get the penalty lifted.

Why not save up the money? To savage your site, simply purchase thick content and perform quality seo. It shouldn't be harder than that, no?

Send me the details via PM. I've had these penalties before, I know what to do.

start producing more quality content, all the articles I order are a minimum of 1000 words

If you got hit by a thin content penalty, one of the easiest ways to deal with that issue is just to go to question-and-answer resources on the Internet.

Look for as many different questions related to the subject matter that your pages are on and come up with your own version.

This is a quick and easy way of coming up with original content.

Also, pay attention to how your visitors actually behave when they're on your site. This can give you clues as to what kind of sub-topics are your pages should focus on.

There are all sorts of creative comments, graphical images you could include on your pages and, of course, you need to optimize these images for search engines by playing around with their tags.

You can also embed related videos or even create original videos.

So, thanks to micro outsourcing, original videos, especially short ones, don't really cost all that much money.

The only limit really when it comes to adding content value to your pages extensively as well as cheaply is your imagination.
