They say pick a niche you are interested in/know a lot about - II am recovering Adddict

So I do not have a lot of clean/sober time under my belt but I am sober. And I was thinking about maybe pikcing a niche that is local narcotic anonymous meetings website or somethjing along the lines of that.

I did allintitle: my city NA meetings and came up with about 96 results.

Do you think this woujld be a good idea? Where i would have a website that lists all the locations of NA/AA meetings or the zoom login inforation for onlikne meetings etc.

problem is i am haivng a hard time coming up with ideas on how to monetize it once i have the trraffic. What would be some good ideas for this if anyone doesnt mind helping me come up with ideas?

That's not to say you couldn't do it better and make money from display ads and per per call.

Pay Per Call networks pay a lot per call and there could be opportunity here via SEO or paid ads.

Addiction recovery leads are paid well.
Use your experience to build a local site and yield a reward for your effort along the way.

I know people say this all the time "pick a niche that you are interested in and ....", almost synonymous with "pick a job you love and you won't have to work ... " look all that shit sounds good in theory, but reality isn't always black and white.

I would say, pick a niche that you are interested in yes, doesn't have to be a 10/10 interest, it could even be a 5/10 interest, if you're not interested in a niche but you are familiar with it, then that would work as well. What's more important is SERP competition, the technicality of the content, monetization etc.. Why? because it also has to make sense right? you also have to make money, so you need to be practical as well. You want a niche where all of these balances are met.

Sure, you can pick any niche and build a site around it, achieve success, but some niches are harder than others. I would say, do some research and if you're able to find lots of low comp keywords in any given niche, then go for it. This work that you put in upfront is going to save you misery and dollar bills down the road.

Work smart, not hard .. they say that too right? ironically that does apply in most cases. You want to do the least amount of work for the most amount of return. Even if you don't like the niche as much as something else, if there is an opportunity, take it. You'll start liking it when it brings in them dolla bills
