They added a "noindex" tag - thoughts?

So a complaint shows up in Google when you search a friend of mines name. I reached out, and asked if they could remove it - they said they could add a "noindex" tag to it. They've revised the tag above, to go from "index" to "noindex". It's been about 4-5 days, the search term is still there. Is this enough to remove it from Google search results? Do I just need to wait until they re-crawl it? Anyway to speed this up?

1. Yes, noindex tag will do the job.
2. Yes, you have to wait till google re-crawls the page.
3. Submit the url to an indexing service. There are free trials in the marketplace.
