I am a member of TV too. I got my membership via IRC, and frankly I have no complaints about them. TV membership is no real value unless you are elevated to VIP or Power user. I bough bandwidth by paying (40GB) and waited 4 weeks, and now I am a power user. Still I cannot access to the hottest items, but I think there are enough materials for the price I paid :)

BHW or TV which is better? I think they both have own merits. I lve both ;)

These guys are notoriously anal. I only ever login with one computer never EVER use another one cause of the possibility of being banned. I suppose another very important thing is to hang around the IRC channels post a lot with a recognizable avatar and be parts of lotsa group buys.
 
I have been a member there for a couple of months now. It is a great site with some really good stuff. I would recommend hanging around in the IRC channel and getting to know some of the people. That is really the only way to get an invite. They have really been cracking down lately about random people getting invited and not bringing anything to their community.
 
What type of group buys are usually at the vault?

Is there an example that someone could post?

I've been on TheVault for a couple of years, and it's fantastic. They're strict with the rules because they have hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars worth of assets on the tracker, and they want to protect it.

Just hang out on IRC and eventually you'll get an invite, unless you're a complete tool. Be nice and be careful, it's worth it.

I have just joined the valut however I don't understand the uploading rules. Does it mean uploading your downloaded file through seeding through utorrent or a bit torrent client? or does it mean adding DVD collections converting them to torrents then uploading? Best site I have seen ever easy to find materials, but unsure of how to improve the ratio. How much do you pay regularly in donations to keep a good ratio?

Yeah man but I downloaded like 1.5gb and i seed all the torrents tho it only uploaded about 150mb...ill get banned lol

that happens to me when i upload. i just upped a torrent last night and afterwards i couldn't seed the file! :eek:

even tho 50 people downloaded it from the swarm. :confused:
i don't have any problem seeding to other sites, just the vault.

in case if you want to maintain your account and you have hard time to seed back what you've downloaded for any reason (your upload speed sucks, there's nobody who wants to download what you are seeding), you can use this little trick, what i shared here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/1904413-post21.html ;)
