I think if it was banned Facebook won’t let him post the link. It’ll show an error message. He said he posted the link but it is not clickable.

Maybe there's a ban on your account or the admin has blocked that link, they don't let you arbitrarily post the link on their group

There could be several reasons why link is not clickable. One reason could be that the link is broken or incorrectly spelled which can cause the link to fail. If you have posted the link too many times, FB might think it's spammy and put in prison.
May be the link is banned by Facebook,if not work other places.
