I have been trying to index a page of my site manually through the gsc for two days but without success.
My penultimate article has been indexed but when I search for it via "site:domain" the article is not shown...

What exactly is the problem with Google? Is all this just happening to me?

Still in the midst of an update. Indexing is slow for just about everyone.

first search result for site:domain with my domain is an ad for google console, lmao

but no, my site does appear. try variations of www. http:// https:// based on what youve set your site up to use, recheck redirects (301/302) for this purpose too, and
this is for a weebly site with meta tags for my website name too, so check that.

side note: one of my backlinks actually used to show up for the first result on searching for my domain. have you tried something like inurl:domain.com or something?

I wasn't aware of the new update (I'm still a newbie about it), so the solution is to wait?

All the articles I've published come out with 'site: domain' so I don't think that's the problem :)

Yup, i have the exact same problem with a fresh new website,
just focus in on-page and pages will get indexed once you start building some good links

Still the product reviews update. Google says they take at least two weeks to roll out, but from what we've seen it usually takes closer to a month.

Two weeks? Then I'll keep posting articles and see how the story ends :(

Now the index looks fine but the new articles still don't appear in the google search with 'site: domain'

Thanks for sharing personally not really noticed any indexer issues for any of my sites so far but I did in the past make a mini indexer in regards to Google making index rate a lot slower compared to how things used to work so my index rate is normally quite fast.

Only 2 days and you are complaining? It has taken me weeks to index pages with GSC. Google has made some changes early this year on how they index pages. If your website is new it will take longer to index articles.

If it's taking you weeks to index pages through GSC then you have bigger problems. Quality pages on quality sites should index instantly. Whether or not they're sorted in the top 100 for the targeted keyword is something completely different.

With my more established sites it is taking 2 to 3 days to index, however my newer sites are taking weeks. Google sites pages are taking weeks to index even when you add them in GSC.

Even with a new site it shouldn't take 2-3 weeks. As long as the site/pages has a good quality score it should index within a few days. Sorting/ranking is going to take a while until you start getting clicks and build up a history of good engagement and "trust" with Google.

How are you doing your g sites? Are you using the api? Are you doing stacks? I do tons of g stacks and they all index and get ranked on the first page within days, sometimes a few hours.

I have the same problem too. Even 3 months pages aren't shown when site:domain.com
Do we need to wait longer?

Indexing is slower than it's ever been. TBH it seems to me like Google's just inadvertently pushing more and more people to require SEOs to get their content out there. I mean, the average content creator who just makes a website and hopes to write a few blog articles and get exposure - - people like that are screwed worse than ever, unless they're making some brain-dead viral content.
I've seen recent sites take MONTHS to index properly - - one of the reasons I joined BHW to learn more about SEO, white hat just wasn't working out.

Indexing hasn't been working properly since December 2019 and Google is not addressing it. It's a shitshow. At this point, I don't have any expectations anymore.

So what do we do? Do we write content and wait for google fix his shit? Or do we build backlinks and hope to be properly indexed?
