Use Linux to watch porn. Problem solved.
Anti virus is itself bad for your computer because it keeps scanning stuffs and slows the computer down. Just be cautious and use linux/mac. You won't need an antivirus atall.

Sophos home, avast free version also works well.
I disagree with people that says antivirus is a thing of the past.
Dont run full scans when you're working, schedule it on lunch breaks or when you sleep.
If it slows your pc while it's not scanning then you probably have a really slow pc to work with. Make your windows 10 look like windows 98 but don't uninstall the AV!

i used to use windows own defender ; gave me resource issues a bit on windows 10. swtiched to kaspersky free version. it is a little bit too intrusive! might switch back to windows defender again

have you used kaspersky? if so, avast is better? how heavy is it on resources?

Oh Kaspersky is known to eat up all the resources once you run a scan.
If you want lightweight try sophos or eset.
