There is an old web directory, what to do with it?

Hello everyone, there is a free moderated web directory (under the USA, there is a description of the business, address, website), age 6 years. There is traffic from Southeast Asia of 20-30 people per day (these people add sites to the directory, there is only such traffic). It is easy to make more traffic, but it is not very clear why. Should I close it or can I somehow make money on such traffic?

I thought about it too, but I'm not sure that people from Pakistan and India will pay for it.

Yes but if your only traffic is people submitting links and they don’t want to pay for that, they’d site is worthless.

But you have nothing to lose trying this - if it works you make some money and if it doesn’t, you get an answer to your question.
 
If all the traffic is just submitters from India/Pakistan and they’re not paying — then yeah, the site won’t bring any money on its own. But I wouldn’t shut it down either. It’s aged, has some baseline trust, and can be useful as part of a link package or a mini network. You can throw a small fee on submit and see what happens, but don’t expect much. Alone it's dead weight, bundled — maybe some value.

Why not sell links from it? Monthly rental? Or if you want one time payment, sell it some good SEO service guy.

I looked at the prices for such sites, they cost $150, it’s cheaper to close it than to spend hours chatting with the new owner.
