Where do you get the design/themes for your blog? Do you design them yourself, or do you pay for them, or what?

I use to use adobe photoshop but that took way too long. Now I use sites like cooltext.com to make my banners and such.

You can check out open source web design - oswd.org, pilkster.com or sapiensbryan.com. I'm just getting started with blogging, but I've downloaded some nice WP themes from these sites.

my favorite basic theme for wordpress is the "connections" theme from wordpress dot org because it's so easy to customize and pimp out with personalization

There are tons of Wordpress themes here:

themes.wordpress.net

Plus, you can do a search at any search engine for free themes. Just choose one that is close to what you want and customize it to your own specifications...

so many themes available for wordpress now that it's easy enough to get some good free ones if you look around and read the theme reviews on the wordpress site, etc.
