Theme with no sidebar. Is it looks fishy?

Hello.
I'm using a white theme without sidebar on a website. Could you please tell me if this looks fishy in your opinion? Should I avoid this?

Was it supposed to have a sidebar for some reason? Not all sites have sidebars.

I removed my sidebar last week believing this would make the reader focus more on the content (added affiliate products). My earnings from AdSense dropped by 50% (not that they are much). Returned the sidebar but with a twist. I read somewhere that putting it on the left becomes more visible and my earning increased by 100%

Why would it be fishy? Most WP themes offer this option and lots of websites use it.

Some sites are not meant to have a sidebar if the content is very targeted. Some single-page websites rank perfectly well. Microsites can perfectly do with only a top menu or something. Do what makes most sense in your case.

No. It depends on how you do the layout of your site according to its goal and purpose. So it can be full page, one sidebar or with two sidebars. It's all up to you.

google did not yet require compulsory sidebars so you should be fine.
