It believe your problem is something like this.
You make changes to your site and are unable to see them in real time.
If you have a Cache plugin installed, then you would need to clear the cache after making changes to your site. This is because if you don't clear the old cache, then your site it would be just showing you an old copy of your site. I think it's called 'purge cache' on W3
