The YouTube video flatlined after 50 hours!

Hey everyone,

I posted a YouTube video a few days before. It was doing pretty well (for a channel with 90-ish subscribers), but suddenly, it just flatlined! And I don't mean like gradually, there is a clear line between when it was getting viewers, and no one watches it anymore! From the analytics data, I thought the user interaction was good for the YouTube algorithm not to drop the video, but that wasn't the case!

There is no problem. As James Brown said, what it is is what is is. Keep going with more content. Don't worry about yesterdays news.
 
There's no such thing as an eternal rise.
YouTube's algorithm shows our videos to the public and checks to see if they are appealing to them.
They look at metrics like watch duration, views, likes, and comments, and if the metrics are consistently good, they'll keep showing it, but if not, they'll stop showing it.
That's normal..

I'll be hoping your YouTube does better.

So the video length (1:19) isn't a problem?

I don't want to fix this video; I want to ensure the next one will perform better.

There is a rumor that YouTube prefers videos longer than 8 minutes to fit in more ads, but no one knows if this is true or false.
What matters is high watch time and public response.
If you look at the screenshots you attached to your post, the click metrics are really good.If your video is 1:19 seconds long, I would expect to see better results when the average watch time is over 0:50 seconds.
Don't despair if your metrics are flat.

While it's great to create longer videos, it's most important to make sure that your videos are interesting and have quality content so that people will watch them for longer.
 
There are many factors to be considered here. Like if the channel is new, this is typical behavior. You will have to keep uploading videos till one video picks up.

If by new you mean the video count, it is (this was the third video), but I posted the first video on the channel back in 2020.
 
How old is the channel? What is the duration of the video? Look at the growth of channel instead of just looking for stats of individual video.

The channel itself is three years old, but this video was the third video (the first one that I put effort into making it appealing).

The video length is 1:19 (79 seconds).
 
that's pretty normal...
keep posting consistently, this happens with all my videos, currently started 4 new channels, and this is happening with almost all of the videos.
 
seems fine but I don't know if is the famous treshold but that is more a myth than a fact, but this is just standard video push by the algo, 1:19 and get 2k views that is really good and all organic, keep posting videos and also some long videos as someone already told you and those numbers should go up in no time.
 
Ignore every single comment above. They have no idea what they are talking about. They're just giving general response while having zero knowledge on the subject. The same happened to me just know, that's why I came here. Last month I did 4 million views combined. It slowed down quite a bit lately, but I was still doing about 900 views an hour. Everything died off completely at 15:45 GMT and that includes search traffic, shorts traffic and views coming from the home page. Everything stopped, and I mean everything. I tried to search for my videos on a different browser some of my videos showed up with an auto generated thumbnails instead of the custom ones that I uploaded. I noticed the same with a few other channels that I follow. Somethings wrong on their end.
