Hello, what was the worst customer you've ever had ?
For me it was an impatient and rude guy, once I sold him an ebook with paypal, he didn't like it and ask for a refund, I refused
He threatens me to take legal action for this pathetic amount : 19$ , I blocked him on Skype
Don't know how, but he managed to get my phone number and started to harass me, I blocked his number but he kept buying virtual number to continue his harassments
I finally refund him and he stopped
All of these for just 19$ ,it was completly crazy

And you ?

Work hard so that even your worst customers walk away satisfied, then your best customers will be raving about your business and hopefully that will lead to great success.

Well how did you sell the ebook? Did you specify that there will be no refunds ? Was there a money-back guarantee? It really depends. But yeah, like Naroha said, if it's "just $19" you refund and forget and save yourself from this burden of insane people.

on the topic... does it matter whether online or offline? Coz I used to have some gems when I was working with rental cars. After 2 years of doing that, will never go back to customer service ever again in my life. That shit is just cancer.

A really bad customer has put me down for at least a week. I try to fight back against it, but this guy was so rude and incompetent that whenever I am having to provide support, I get really bad vibes.

I had this CEO that sold his business (Rich Guy/55+ Years) that wanted to get a nice website with some custom features for his new venture, so I built it and sent him an invoice for about $3000 (This was about 10-15 years ago) and he paid, then later he wanted to be cheap and hired another PHP coder to make some adjustments to the functions on the website and that coder told him that he could not do it because he did not understand the PHP that I had made the website in (CodeIgniter framework) so the former CEO was furious and sued me for making my own PHP language that no one could understand, when he should have hired a better coder instead .. He lost in the court of course , but it was fun to see him losing his face in the court .. Haha .. Ooh.. Memories .. =)

I had the same experience recently; I had a really bad review from a customer - the first bad review I have had for as long as I can remember. It also put me down, and really demotivated me. However, the more I thought about it, even though the review was pretty unfair, there were still some things I could take from it and change, if not for the reviewer themselves, then at least to make the experience for future customers even better.

So that got me thinking - even when you have a really bad experience with a customer, you can still use that to improve your business - because however unjustified you may feel the customer was, they are still a reflection of your customer base, at least to some extent. So really you just have to work with it and try to make those people happy - even if that means refunding them and not working with them.

Yeah the problem is when that reviewer/customer had no actual feedback, his personality was just like that.
