Hey guys so I may have a good idea for a a poll. This is how I think they are supposed to work. Is this the basic idea behind them?

-find a keyword that will get cheap clicks, contreversial, interesting topic.
-make a poll that people will want to vote on, view results.
-add an email submit to it.
-people search, see the ad, think hmm I'd like to vote, or see results, plus it gives a free xbox. GREAT! they vote, press a button to submit, get taken to an offer, they fill it out, then press a button saying something like "I claimed my xbox let me see the results"

Is this how it works or am I missing something.

haha very newbie question will probably get booted up the a$$ right now....

The biggest problem these days is with the email submits. There is so much shaving/scrubbing/etc going on with the networks, it's becoming harder and harder to be profitable with them. I would highly suggest using polls to build lists instead of using email submits

Here is what I have been doing for the last 8-10 months:

    1. Find a hot keyword on some niche you want to get into
    2. Make an interesting poll where people will feel like they want to vote
    3. Make them opt in to your list to place their vote rather than sending them straight to an offer
    4. Continue with basic, tried and tested email marketing.

It's obviously quite a bit slower, but it's a highly stable, whitehat income.

I mean on paper that sounds great, but when you're spending $200+ a day on a campaign, you want to know that you have gotten that money back. I mean this is perfect for whitehat shit or w/e where you aren't spending, but when you are, this kinda doesn't cut it. No live results. Opinions?

Yeah dude I agree, I just wanna try some whitehat PPC, and was wondering if people would help me out with polls. I think I have a keyword with shit loads of traffic that has 0 advertisers. so 0.05 $ clicks on google? Imo it'll covert pertty well too if I do it right!

You don't necessarily have to do PPC with polls. You can blast the poll url, your going to get traffic for it, twitter the poll, people like to vote for things. Go outside the box on PPC. use godcpa for really good results

Polls are a crapshoot. I can pretty much guarantee that if you think you are gonna rake it in with what you think is a golden kw you are only going to make googles wallet a lil more golden.

Build a quick list of 2k kw using googles tools. break em up into groups of 50 or less for content network (you are a fool if you try polls on search). then rotate at least 5 offers through. after 24 hours (depending on volume) start lowering bids and removing non perfoming adgroups and rotating in new offers to replace the ones that arent converting. after a few days you should have turfed 90% of the adgroups or more and be left with the ones that get cheap traffic. Then its just a matter of finding an offer that converts.

Rinse and repeat 20 times and you might find a winner or 2.
