Have you got a source to say people with immunity don't spread the virus with their hands from others? Not only does it seem illogical, but it sounds damn right outrageous to make a statement like that.

Are you working in a hospital? Then yes, you can spread diseases on your hands more easily. But saying that vaccines don't protect others because of this reason is wrong.

Lets say you have a class of 20, with person unable to be vaccinated due to medical reasons. If the other 19 class mates are vaccinated, they are helping reduce the exposure to that virus for that one person that can't ben vaccinated. It's just plain how it works.

You are just talking about herd immunity, not transmission. Herd immunity is not achievable with a coronavirus that mutates every year. Therefor, the vaccine only protects those who have it, otherwise we would all get the flu vaccine and the flu would not exist.

In terms of transmission via hands, if one person has it out of 300 in a supermarket, and sneezes on the drinks isle, everyone who touches that isle, will spread it via their hands to other isles, before you know it, the entire supermarket is contaminated. Therefor, you need the vaccine to be protected, and vaccinating others will not protect you.

Seems a bit over the top for a virus with a 99.7% survival rate. When did we ever do this for the flu?

Let's pretend that that survival rate is 100% correct. That's 234,000,000 people that would die if left unchallenged. That's like wiping out 70% of the US population.
Seeing as we're now at a stage where we can prevent that, it seems reasonable that we should?!

I don't get the reluctance. You can quite literally help someone that can't be immunised by getting the vaccine yourself.

You can also do this with the flue vaccine.

That's in no way similar to being vaccinated.

We don't know the long-term side effects of the vaccine yet but people are getting in line to take the shot.

Sounds like blind obedience to me.

I can't believe the stupidity in the world! Guys that read an article somewhere online believe they know better than people that have devoted their lives on this stuff.

People that lack even basic math and statistical analysis procedures try to make sense of what it means if 2 people died after the vaccines.

We take supplements, food etc that we have no idea how it is produced. We buy drugs from a guy in the corner of the alley that make us see dragons.

But no, when it comes to vaccines we know better!

PS. Just for the sake of the conversation. If this was a conspiracy, who do you think "they" would want to die? Those who do as they are told or those who defy authority?

it’s not even close to being related. One is a choice of one person who will affect only herself and whoever it was conceived with.

That’s not how this is going to work. Health care & other health essentials workers are going to get it first, then the elderly people are next in line. People with pre-existing conditions will get their shot next and then it will be via group age. In Canada, they expect young and healthy people to get their shot around September 2021 with an extra ~6 weeks to build up immunity.
