I don't know if you're looking for advice or content, but this is better than anything you'll find in one of those ridiculous books. Tried and tested many, many, many times by dudes all over the world:
1. Do at least 50 push-ups and 50 sit-ups everyday until it becomes easy. Even if you have to break them up into smaller sets, do it. When it gets easy, double it to 100. At least 50 every day. Keep on doubling it.
2. Buy a plant.
3. If the plant is still around in 3 months, buy a puppy.
4. Walk the puppy every day. Say at least "Hello" to every stranger that makes eye contact with you or remarks on how cute your dog is (and they will, without fail.) If you can, engage them in conversation. Ask them if they have a dog. If they do, ask them what breed it is. Continue the conversation.
5. Talk to at least one woman every week who you think is unattainable. Just remember that if she is truly unattainable, you have nothing to lose by talking to her. Get comfortable with initiating those conversations.
6. Ask one of those unattainable women out once a month. Do it sober, if possible.
Rinse and repeat. Once you've got plant and dog ownership down, look into learning how to cook. Aside from being a very important skill, it is a great way to woo the ladies. You don't need to drop serious cash to have a nice date; a home-cooked meal and good conversation will get most women very comfortable with you. The next step happens naturally. You don't "pick-up and bang chicks," you develop a trusting relationship that, even if brief, blossoms in the same way that it has since the beginning of human history.
Remember, more than anything else, most women are looking for somebody who will make a good father (whatever that means to them individually.) Being responsible and taking care of yourself are good first steps in that direction.
