Hello, everyone.
I am just wondering if affiliates prefer the third affiliate network such as CJ, linkShare etc. or company own affiliate program?

Running your own affiliate program is definately a big plus as it shows you are not trying to shove your product to just a bunch of marketers who may or may not know or care what it is about.

It also gives the impression that your product is so good, that your customers are turning into affiliates based on self use of the product or service..

This is just my opinion ofcourse..

Best of luck

Ah, yes, it's true.
But don't you think that affiliates joining the third affiliate network are much more professional than customers?

That maybe true! There are plus and minus points to both the options. I guess you could try both of them and see which 1 works better for you.

I have joined one company own affiliate program, and now I am doing good. I think making money online is not so easy, so I don't have so many time to do it.
Thanks for your advice, though.

How does one recruit affiliates though, if you come up with a new independently run program?

ah, yes, it's an independent affiliate program, and selling clothes, shoes and so on. they just raise their commission ratio to 15%. I think i can get more, cause I have so many friends shopping online, and I like fashion sites also.

Advertisers go to third party networks like CJ or Linkshare because they already have a large base of affiliates and because networks tend to have significantly more experience than the average advertiser does in running an affiliate network.

Those who chose to run their own network do so to remove the middle-man from the equation. You can provide your affiliates better payouts because you aren't enabling that third party to profit from it. The only downside is that you have to do a lot of the work in recruiting the affiliates yourself.

As an affiliate, you should always choose to establish a direct relationship with the advertiser, as it can result in a much higher payout for you.
