The Tattoo Niche

Hi

Ive got a couple of domains in the tattoo niche.Ive been googling a bit and found this site checkoutmyink.xxx (xxx = com )

It got me thinking to maybe do something similar , where people can upload there tattoos etc , and monetise it and try and make some money from it , the niche i have is quite a searched niche .

What im wandering is , could wordpress make a similar website to the one ive mentioned ? with a similar theme so people see tattos as soon as there on the home page , and is there any plugins that will let people upload there tatoos etc .

Or would this job be a job for a web designer , freelancer etc ?

Wordpress can do it, there is most likely a similar premium theme out there, it actually looks like a highly customized Clickbump theme which is free.

What I would do is look into these "hot or not" type themes/plugins that allow people to upload their own images and have others rate them, Check the php code for doing this and insert it on my own custom theme. Something that allows a lot of customization like Thesis, Clickbump or TwentyTen - These themes have hook plugins which make editing really simple.

Set up WAMP so you can have wordpress on your localhost that way you can spend a good amount of time building the theme then making sure it actually works before going live.

Make sure to make a proper competition analysis for your kw. You might have a hard time to rank well for "tattoos" related kw!

Of course Wordpress can do this! But you have to do a makeover of course! For your payment idea maybe Amember could help you, just google it. I remember that there was a plugin for wordpress, too.

BUT, for those kinds like payment script etc. I would hire a freelancer or use an other free CMS, just like Drupal or Typo3! Much better for those purposes (User-management-systems, payment, flexibility and performance).

For a simple Picture upload and Voting Script you can use Wordpress, I agree. I like your idea. For your theme problem: wordpress themes are really cheap, but pay attention they are mostly not seo optimized.

The tattoo niche is very tricky. You can rank pretty easy for high traffic KW but monetize such website always a problem for me.

hey thsnks for your ideas , much appreciated , i relise though that my keyword can rank high , and its just the monetizing of it.The keyword in the niche i have is the 2nd one on the first page of google ,and i know this will surely change in the next howeverlong .If i can find the plugin that lets people upload photos i might give it a crack myself , however i am swerving to the idea of getting some help of a freelancer.

You can also provide the use of sftp accounts for uploading... and a flash gallery script to load all the images
