I know it would be rough since everyone would be asking you for money, but I don't see how you could blow it all. The only good investment to blow money on would be twinkies.

His son is such an idiot. $1 million is nothing if all you want to do is spend money left and right while sitting on your ass.

Their is said to be a lottery curse..
Some lottery winners even wished they have never won the lottery..
Winning a huge sum of money and not being financially smart only spells disaster..

WFT, he continued to use food stamps after winning the 2 mill?
In a way I dont blame him considering the gov took more then half of the winnings in taxes.
    that's fked up.

These guys acted like they were millionaires, they only had $800,000 and never invested a dime of it.

lmfao@ the kid explaining how that tv screen paid for itself, watching it for an hour.

In a way though, I feel bad for them, when you're poor, even a few bucks makes you feel rich.
They had no concept of money, to them that was billions of never ending dollars.

Why the f*ck would you live in a hotel for $80 a night, thats $2400 a month, you could get a freaking huge apartment for that price especially in Michigan.

His son is exploiting his old man 100 - 0! That's just typical(?) in setting like that, almost senile dad or father figure and kid has been away from home for few years.... BOOOM! big cash settlement for dad, child moves back in "you need me and i love you, i missed you so much!". Dad is ofcourse naive and trusts in his stepson/son and gives in...

I would insert that excalibur in that bastards ass for sure, brick.

I really enjoyed the sword demonstration before showing the heart shaped tub... I used to work down the street from that econolodge, if only I had know about all the treasures inside that room. I could have been a hundred-thousand-dollar-aire as well.

this is common among lotto winners - they buy liabilities instead of assets.
and $900K isn't that much anyway.

he would've been better off putting it into an annuity and taking the interest.

    ---

"Since winning the lottery in the Spring of 2010, a lot has happened to Leroy Fick & son Jeff of Auburn, Michigan. The Ficks blew thru their $2 million winnings ($850,000 after taxes), and both ended up in prison.

Leroy was sentenced to 45 days in jail for illegally possessing a prescription painkiller in early January of 2012. In October 2011, Leroy's son Jeff stole a 90-year-old man's car. Jeff was sentenced to 180 days in jail, and an additional 185 days deferred.

Upon his release, he will also serve three years of probation."
