I don’t know about you, but I’ve been seeing more projects pop up on BSC and Base than on Ethereum. Does this mean Ethereum is losing its position as the standard for quality project launches?

This thought came to me after the Linea T G E, when I realized it’s been a while since I noticed something similar happening on the Ethereum chain. Speaking of Linea—has anyone used their ecosystem? What’s your opinion of a project that aims to scale Ethereum?

The vast majority of new tokens/projects this cycle are on Solana, BSC was going pretty strong in terms of on chain trading volume back in ‘21.

I still trust Ethereum for big, serious launches, the others feel more like speedboats than tankers

What you’re noticing is a shift in launch dynamics, not necessarily Ethereum losing quality.
Ethereum is still the base layer for credibility serious protocols, L2 infrastructure, and institutions continue to anchor there. But BSC and Base are eating the retail launch flow because they’re cheaper, faster, and easier for smaller projects to gain traction. That’s why you see more hype tokens and quick launches popping up there while Ethereum feels quieter on the surface.
Linea specifically is interesting because it’s not competing against Ethereum it’s scaling it. Built by ConsenSys, it’s trying to capture users who want Ethereum security without paying Ethereum gas fees. If they can attract real builders and liquidity into their ecosystem (not just speculative farmers), it strengthens Ethereum’s position rather than weakens it.
So, in short: Ethereum still sets the standard for trust and infrastructure, while chains like BSC, Base, and even Linea handle the retail demand and scaling needs.

BSC isn’t really what it used to be, I don’t see too much hype around the chain itself nor the projects launching on it. I think the price and marketcap of BNB itself is mainly because Binance is one of the worlds leading CEXs. I still do like the chains low transaction fees and speed, but in terms of investing not so much.

I like base, but bsc - don't really hear much about it, binance has some nice savings for holders but other than that sol is much more active.

I looked at lineas monthly data and it's kinda impressive low-key. Billions in trx already and millions in users. I think they just need stability in the price trend and consistent exposure and think they'll be okay..speaking about price trend, what's your take on their token?. It's accumulating rn, B G candybomb could be an entry point though.
