I bought hosting for a website on the forum but the hosting provider provided the host with an IP address on the spamhaus.org spam list. Will I be covered by the warranty? I tried to contact them but they did not reply (8 hours have passed since my message and no one has responded). Sorry, this is my first time renting hosting so I don't know and encountered a rather unpleasant situation.

doesn't the hoster have a support ticket system?? Most hosters do, and using their ticketing system can sometimes be much faster than waiting for a reply on the forum. Not always, but sometimes....

But waiting for 8 hours means nothing, I always give service providers 48 hours to reply, especially if I contact them during the weekend (Friday noons to Sunday evenings).

PS: I've purchased hosting on this forum, too last year and while I'm not happy with them anymore and will be moving away from them I've not been scammed if that's what you're afraid of. Of course, you could still have been scammed, in which case you need to dispute them here:

But like I said, 8 hours is too little time to wait, they might be having internet or real life issues, or they might even be swamped with PMs and posts needing to respond to, so they might have simply not gotten to your message yet. Just be patient :)

EDIT: regarding Spamhaus I don't know what to say. Many years ago (15-ish) they were a big and important site and if your IP got on their list you were almost guaranteed to never rank in google again. I don't know why, or how they did it, but it was true back then. Nowadays I don't know how legit they still are, let's hope someone clue us both in on SH's legitimacy

I bought hosting with IP attached to their spam IP, all domains I pointed to the hosting were spammed

Where are they based? It is a bank holiday weekend in the UK.
They should be able to move you to a different sever/IP easily, if they can't, then ask for a refund.
If they haven't responded in 24–48 hours, then start a dispute.
