So I was on BHW a lot around '08 - '10 and it was a great site. People were sharing amazing content, discussing real money making methods, not giving a fuck about TOS, and taking advantage of absolutely anything to make a buck. It was fucking fantastic. My kind of people.

Now, people are saying it's unethical to steal content to post on IG and reporting people to the hosting companies for having dodgy sites. Like, WTF? What happened to BHW?

Don't get me wrong, there are still some really good discussions going on here, but there seems to be a hell of a lot of people on here who seem to have forgotten that this is a BLACK HAT site.

There's no real point to this post. What does everyone think?

fcuk bhw. Did u get your BJ? That's the real question.

(So I can start doing a similar journey)

I'm a newbie here, but I agree with you. For a site that calls itself "black hat world", there isn't a lot of black hat stuff being discussed. Pretty much every method I've read was white hat or grey hat at worst.

I can't say that I was around in the times that you talk about, but I have to admit that BHW isn't even remotely Black Hat.

When I first joined I was expecting this to be a BH place, and I quickly found out that wasn't the case.

The most BH think talked about nowadays is PBNs.

IMHO, BHW still has great content, atleast free content. BHW has basically grown up. When you were young, you used to think/talk about things you would laugh at right now. I believe it is like that only.. but yes.. I do miss those days to be frank.

I'm working on it. It's taking a long ass time, but it'll come. I always knew it would be a long journey.

Well for legal reasons the site had to ban the discussion of a couple of popular black hat method, which is fair enough. Their site, their rules. But you're totally correct that most of the stuff now is grey/white hat. It's kinda sad seeing BHW lose it's roots.

It was fucking glorious. Make BHW Great Again.

The site is too large and too public to have any real Blackhat info now, technically BHSEO is not illegal so it is safe to post about, but anything else is likely to land the site owners in trouble or have the site infiltrated by the FBI.

Yes it is a shame but you have to be realistic, if you want illegal methods then look at the Russian sites, or on the dark web.

This is still the best site out there IMO

A lot of what I see these days are the sales of bots and such. Seems to be bots for pretty much everything. But there are still good beginner sections for folks just getting into the industry or trying to learn how to get into their own niche.

Black Hat World, while great, is the PG version of a war movie.

I'm okay with this.

If Black Hat World was always "R" rated, it wouldn't exist anymore.

Nobody here wants to go to jail. We aren't on a TOR browser. Most of us have nothing to hide.

I'd encourage everyone to post valuable content and share what they can.

But I don't know...

The problem is than there is too much money involved and no one is going to tell you a good black hat way to earn money. Why should they? These methods, which you can find here and known to everyone and google also and they are ma grey hat.

Imagine, you have found a BHW method, where you can earn 50k per month. Would you tell that method here? I doubt. I think years ago there wasnt that high competition. Now everyone with BHW account calls him a IM marketer and spams the f uc k out of the internet and if they find a competition, they are reporting it to the Mother of Goodle because they are crying in the corner that someone else will earn money from it.

I think the too large and too public hit the issue on the head. Back in the 'good 'ol days' we had a lot of industry heavy hitters, and that attracted a lot of people from other marketing forums, but they stayed and didn't really have the black hat mindset.

I love people sharing. White hat, black hat, grey hat. Doesn't matter. If you're sharing with the community you're in my good books.

I'm more against the people who criticise people that do share and say their method is unethical. Like, what good is that doing the community?

I don't think that is the case. Harros, for example made great bucks at that time, AFAIK. Why would he share his methods?
I just took one example and there are several other members who did/still do the same. The thing is that we do not have the same ToS these days. I mean.. you can't even talk about CL, forget cookie stuffing.

Yea, but do you thing that the real methods have been told here? I don't think so.

Agree about ToS. Today everything is connected. One social network to another and one forum to another and one method to another.

The pussification of BHW

FEELINGS HURT ALERT! FEELINGS HURT ALERT!

Yeah... Google has pounded the fight out of white hat SEOs so it is worst in that category. I've had limited success fighting this phenomenon with data. But some people are too far gone to save.

In my eyes there's two types of blackhat:

(1) hacking, carding, theft of info etc = criminal liability, thus should never be allowed here

(2) taking advantage of advertising platforms' ToS = civil liability, thus should be allowed

I've been in the game for 10 years now doing option 2, so people shouldn't equate "blackhat" as activity that will result in jail time. Sure, people can extrapolate that breaking ToS can also result in criminal prosecution but there's many variables that factor into it.
