The purpose of linkwheels?

Hi guys,

Understand that almost everyone understand the power of linkwheels. Just curious though...anyone know what's the reason behind that make it so successful?

Is it because of interlinking them together Meaning once they are indexed by Google, they will indexed in a infinity way? Since they are going round in circle. Which of cause Google might spot it sooner or later.

However, if chosen... Web 2.0 properties [blog platform] with 1 way link will be much safer and powerful than Linkwheel provided they are being indexed constantly. This also create better link weight compare to getting package backlinks like angela's packets, paul's packets, etc

Am i right to say that? I hope fellow BHW members can give some advice on this.

This is what i understand as using linkwheels the main purpose. [Getting indexed infinity] Any suggestion on this as well?

The advantage of the linkwheel over your idea is the interlinking. The problem with your idea is that the web 2.0 won't get any backlinks themselves and even if indexed, g won't count them as important backlinks. When you create a blog on a web 2.0 property, the page PR is 0, even if you created it on one of the popular blog platforms.

BTW, it is the same with profile links. If you don't promote the profiles, they will also get a PR0 and be basically ignored by g. You could also do a profile linkwheel.

As i was wondering whether is it due to the constantly interlink [Where once Google notice it, they will find all the links at once]

However as you mention, to really see the success. We need to really look into boosting the 'linkwheel' which will increase our rank in Search Engine as well.

But does Profile linkwheel work as good as web 2.0? From what i test, it's doesn't really show much at all [I am doing only 12 interlink for Profile linkwheel]

Is it too little which i should do maybe at least 50 to make it noticeable?
