some people have dreams but they are too lazy to execute. like let's say someone wants to be a lawyer but he doesn't go to law school.
i dont suffer from inaction or laziness. the problem is, i dont have any dreams. if i had a dream, i would definitely chase it.
when i tell some people this, they say you have a dream, you just dont know it. you need to figure it out.
how do i figure it out? and please dont say something stupid like "by doing different things" I have done different things but i dont find anything stimulating or rewarding.

like do you meet someone you like or you want to take care of? Maybe that can be a solution.

I get it. Not having a dream isn’t the same as being lazy—you’re ready to act, you just don’t see what’s worth chasing. That’s not failure, that’s honesty.
Maybe the dream won’t come as a big revelation, but as something small that sticks with you over time. You’re not behind. You’re just in a quiet part of the process—and that still counts. Keep going.

By failing, and trying things that take your interest. Maybe creative thinking about dreams is to hard for you. In that case read some books by millionaires and billionaires and see if you can get inspired. The reason you don't find any "rewarding" is your not working. Your probably doing something for a couple of hours, then trying something else. Or probably not lol Maybe you're not doing anything at all? Anyway best of luck. I have a dream, and I'm busy with it! (time to get back to action!)

Why try to "figure out" something that is not there? Consider yourself lucky instead to not constantly be chasing something. I wish I could be like that sometimes! :) In the meantime, do the things you are passionate about and who knows, maybe that will turn into a dream scenario at some point.

It's okay not to have a dream. But you definitely need to find a purpose. It can be anything, even surviving is a purpose.

That’s a real and frustrating place to be, when you’re ready to act, but there’s nothing that feels worth acting on. The usual advice (“try new things”) can feel empty when you’ve already done that and still feel nothing click. So here’s a sharper approach:

Forget “finding a dream.” Instead, ask: What problem would I care about solving, even if it sucks and no one cheers me on? Dreams aren’t always about passion, they’re often built around responsibility or frustration. What injustice, inefficiency, or stupidity in the world bothers you enough to want it fixed? Start there.

Another angle: Consider what kind of pain or struggle you wouldn’t mind enduring regularly. People become lawyers, founders, or artists not because it’s fun, but because the struggle feels meaningful. If nothing feels meaningful, it may be worth looking deeper, not at what excites you, but at what haunts or nags you when you’re alone.

If you're struggling to identify a dream of your own, just take inspiration from someone else' dream and work on it.
This is what my ex did. She took inspiration from my dream of visiting at least 100 countries and she has already visited more countries than me lol

Look back into your life and reconsider some of the choices you've made that were bad at that time, and see if you can try to fix them?

It's a universal problem, and I've seen this kind of many people. Even a few years back, I didn't have any dreams. One day, it entirely changed.

I hope the day comes soon in your life also. Best of luck.
