Ok, I'm new to this. Questions as below

1. set up the wheel
2. Ping it and bookmark it
3. Do I repost more content into the properties or just leave it as it is ?

You only need to add content to each web property once. Then ping and bookmark or build backlinks (I tend to got for the latter as I only trust the power of links from high PR pages), you do not need to post to your wheel more than once.

You can as well re-ping your properties if you realise that the SERP for the properties or your money site is dropping. This will easily re-up your position.

Getting in on this late and I'm sorry if this is too much of a newbie question but I'm just getting into IM. Ok, so I get all my little spokes out (about 6) and put a link from one to the next while having all of them link to the wheel. Each of them has slightly different content around the same subject. Am I ok if my wheel (my main web page) does a redirect to a CB site?

Yes you are ok if your main page just redirects through an affiliate link, however its often better if rather than just redirecting you put some more unique content on it, and try to pre-sell your product a bit, then have them click through another link to the actual product

gotcha. Thank you. Still trying to make my first buck IM marketing by using a good product, website, blogging, Craigslist, Backpage, article marketing, niche long tail keywords, linkwheel, etc... ugh. Struggling here.

there are a lot of linkwheel diagram here in the forum and I saw all of them. The problem is not the wheel itself, the problem is to find unique content to put it on all those web properties and make it rank well in google in order to get some decent traffic.

I agree. I have no problem writing the content but I found a long tail keyword that had something like 1900 searches per one tool and I go to google and it has 1,400,000 results. Ouch
