The potential of Yahoo Mail

This thought just popped into my head. Right now creating new Gmail accounts is harder than ever. And once you’ve already used up all your Gmail accounts to register different services, switching to Yahoo Mail seems like an option. Yahoo Mail can be logged into using Gmail, and I feel like creating Yahoo accounts might be less strict at the moment since not that many people use it anymore, at least that’s my assumption.
Of course, I’ll test it myself with proxies and antidetector Hidemyacc, but I just want to get a sense of whether Yahoo Mail is actually less used, or if people have already been using it heavily and I’m just not aware of it. Has anyone here been using Yahoo Mail a lot for account registrations?

I switched to yahoo Mail long time for all the stealth activities like domain and hosting purchases and various trial purchases, Guest posts selling , email forwarding to the point I use it as my main account.
I still need gmail to access google services like Google ads adsense Google search console Google analytics gemini and nenobanna and of course youtube. Lot of sits only allow Google or Facebook login.
So Google only for Google services and sso login.
 
Yahoo Mail is less popular than Gmail overall, but it’s not immune to strict checks, especially when used for registering many accounts. Even though fewer people use Yahoo, major platforms still flag new accounts if they see unusual patterns (same device/proxy, rapid creation, etc.). So switching providers won’t automatically make things easier, clean setup, warm-up, and safe behavior still matter regardless of the email service.

Yahoo Mail still has a significant user base in 2026, with over 225 million active users worldwide. About 34% of Yahoo users consider it their main email provider, and it processes more than 25 billion emails daily. While Gmail remains dominant, Yahoo Mail is not unused or obscure. So, it’s not necessarily less strict or less used for account registrations, but it could be a viable alternative depending on your needs.
 
YM still pops up as an option because gmail has tightened sign-ups so much, and fewer people seem to rely on it these days, it might be easier for registrations, but always test first since some platforms still flag or limit yahoo addresses depending on their anti abuse systems.
 
It’s true Yahoo Mail still has a sizable user base worldwide (over ~225 million active users), but overall Gmail remains far more widely used and dominant, so Yahoo will feel less common or “quiet” compared with Gmail’s massive adoption.
 
Yes; you can use that email domain; however, Gmail accounts are good since they are more "trusted" by meta.
