Google Analytics is a crucial tool for analyzing, testing and reporting website data. With the new design of Google Analytics a few months ago I am sure most of you were not to happy and kept clicking the "show me older version" link. Well now that's been gone for sometime so embrace it!

For those of you still struggling I came across a good post for you to help you setup your perfect dashboard (I take no credit for this). It will give you a great overview of what has been happening on your site and the crucial data you should be looking at.

For full details please see here.

There are two versions available for you to install one for leads generation and one for e-commerce sites.

Get the leads generation dashboard here.

    Get the e-commerce dashboard here.

Look at the video below to learn how to configure them.

This is only for a good start, you can obviously customize as you see fit. Any tips/advice to help others in this thread is appreciated.

That is actually pretty cool. Will changing the layout make my "revenue" output look like the one in the sceenshot? ;)

I usually just fill my analytic dashboard with loads of metric data that I need or might be useful. I never thought that it could be tailor-made to suite a website needs.

Try renaming the 'Visits' field to 'Revenue' :)
