Just within the last few months we have crossed into a territory where Facebook is hyped by virtually everyone. Advertisers on television are advertising their Facebook pages over their websites. Books and movies are out about how Facebook got started. Investors are still looking to get a bit of the Facebeook pie. Some value it at $20 billion. But if you look now, Facebook's numbers are slowing. It doesn't have the largest percentage gains like it did last year (200 - 400 millions fans 100% growth in less than a year). People are angry with the privacy concerns with Facebook. Oddly enough, accounts are not deleted they are simply "disabled". So of the 500 million users, how many are disabled? How many are repeated accounts? The price of a status update or a fan page is not what it was a few months ago. Facebook feels a bit like old news like I've heard enough about it in the news and elsewhere.
