European Union have now voted through article 11 and 13. (dumbass!!:devil:)

Youtube, Instagram, Facebook - all social media will be infected of this stupid sh*t.
I have heard that YT will block every account in Europe because they cant create a AI who can see what people will upload and so on.

Is there anyone out there who have more information about this? We could never use the open internet like before :weep::weep:

* i will take a selfie with my new GUCCI t-shirt * *click* *ooh i upload it on social media with a stunning quoute* - Instagram: you cannot upload this image.

VPN will not work.

I dont know, always f*cking people up... have you heard something nee?

I dont know if this is working because if the AI will be programmed all over the world then it will not work, and i heard something about that VPN for this purpose (to go around article 13 will be against the law) but that can be bullshit

I doubt this will happen at all...

Leave europe problem solved. That is good property about a online business location freedom .Live in a tax haven.

Not every site is going to be blocking EU users or using a filter as the law does not apply to websites based outside of the EU.

I live in EU and it sucks, but it's just a hysteria and that's it. Most of the people who are upset with it didn't even read the original directive.
The same shit happened with GDPR. Everyone was crying about GDPR, but here we are, still alive and with additional popups :D

You can look from the other side. Because of the GDPR now we have data protection officers, companies which deal with EU customers need to be more serious about customer data security. Basically, there are some inconveniences, but I think the overall internet is better with GDPR. Yeah, some websites become unavailable for EU citizens but if they can't make sure my data is secure, or they do some shady things with my data I don't even want to have anything to do with them.

As I said, Article 13 sucks, but we have what we have. I because of this article there are new opportunities for new startups who will help website owners deal with all the inconviniences. Instead of crying you could try to use the new opportunities and make money from it.

There will be new opportunities outside of the EU because of the growing regulations in the EU.
GDPR law would add the expense of a compliance officer plus lost revenue from not being able to do as much targeted marketing. Article 13 requires paying for an expensive filter service and the VAT law requires that all EU businesses charge people in the EU VAT on goods.

Typical EU bureaucrats, instead of lower limitations they increase them.

the vat laws been in place for ages mate although there's plenty of ways round it and to be honest

And if you fully read article 11 and 13 there actually not that bad of an idea
Firstly memes will not be banned that's a load of click bait hysteria.

Now article 11 basically means if news Networks like Google news ect use another users content then they need to pay the original writter which is fair enough

Articles 13 means websites earning more than 10mill need to take more responsible for what's uploaded to there site and must take down copy written videos photos ect which again is fair enough people need to stop.profitimg off other people's work

But in order to take copywrite content down they need to create an AI which does this as they probably won´t risk getting sued for many Million dollars. And AI´s do mistakes. It can´t tell the difference between a Meme which uses copyrightet content and actually copyrightet content just getting uploaded. So it will take both down. That´s the problem many people have

YT already use content ID which has many problems, but it exist. There is also DMCA and we know companies just automatically spam takedowns and in most cases they are automatically approved. So the problems already exist. Article 13 may be a good thing, because now companies will need to invest more into the AI algorithms so that they would work better.

Is there a country called Europe? Or are y'all talking about the entire Europe? Like all 44 countries?
