1. Help people make money
2. Help people save money
3. Help people save time

Wonder why tweets like this one become viral, this is not sky rocket science...

Anyway I liked this comment from someone:

4. Help people achieve higher social status

It doesn't necessarily mean helping them become richer, social status can also mean apparences, something like fake it until you make it.
It's easier to help someone look like being rich, than helping them really become rich.
And people love looking like rich even if they are not.

I totally support these three points, my three point (now four due to the extra point mentioned in your post) were:
Save people money
Save people time
Save people inconvenience
 
- Help people feel good
- Help people look good
- Help people smell good

You can make whatever you say sound intelligent once you reach a certain level. If a normal person wears a T-shirt, he is considered tacky.
But if Bill Gates wears the same T, then it's fashionable and minimalistic.
You don't need to be clever to create something worthwhile. It is possible to achieve greatness with simple thoughts and ideas.

Really, the list could go for a while more and nothing of value would be accomplished
