DISCLAIMER: I have not done this... yet ;)

But, this is a relatively simple method that should make some serious bank.

What you will need:

ProxiBlaster Bluetooth Advertising Embedded Dongle($299):
Code:
http://www.proxiblaster.com/item--bluetooth-advertising-software--PBS1

USB range extender (30 kilometer radius)($129):
Code:
http://gadgets4u.uni.cc/blog/?p=109

Set up an ad on your dongle that looks something like this:
Are you a real player?

Reckon you can beat me in a poker game?

Prove it, email me at: [email protected]

When/if you get emails tell them that it's a thousand dollar entry fee, or 2k, depending on what works. Choose a revshare program, some offer up to 40% rev share, but 25% will be ok thats $250 per player if you use 1k as the min deposit, and residual income if you continue milking them or if they get addicted to the site. I reckon that you should host an 'event' every two weeks with about 11 other players (make it a table of twelve). This way you would get $1300 a week from hosting poker events.

If people email you then back out of the 1k deposit then just send them through a cpa link instead of revshare and get $125 or so for $50 deposited.

You should be able to bring these customers back every two weeks, if not, then just go back to any casino and recruit via bluetooth.

If you want to advertise in a casino in any other way like biz cards or anything else, dont. Trust me :P Bluetooth is the only option for this that will keep you safe so far.

Side Note: I apologize for not being around much (especially you cabello) I will be on much more for this year and will be sharing my offline marketing ventures. Going to university this year as well.

the more i hear about this bluetooth proximity spam the more interested i become...

definitely an interesting method...

never heard of this method before...i will take note..thanks for sharing..

I tried this at my local casino, but they wouldnt let me plug my laptop in behind the bar.

Seriously tho there are a million uses for this, as soon as it goes portable, and I can walk up and down my High street without my billboard.

As an offline moneymaker you could offer a service to cafes bars and restaurants, advertising their special offers.

Go to a concert, football match, or cinema and offer ring tones and the rest.

Wide open to spammers and viruses tho'

How soon before it is portable.

Congratulations on your 100 post Bargain, short and sharp and to the point. anyway I just got an email from the manufacturer.

I just asked the manufacturer of the dongle if it can be used with the other device to increase the range of the messages: the answer was NO

Nick,
Unfortunately no, we were using those last year but discontinued them due
to extremely high amounts of ignore records generated by the increased
range, many phones can be discovered at great distances with the air cable
unit but most cannot respond because they are too far away which leads to
many ignore records. Most of our client's base success and failure on
percentage of accepted ads, the high amount of ignore records causes the
date to look unsuccessful so we discontinued it and went with a 100m dongle
instead.

That is a very cool product, and thanks for the post on the method as well.

If you are going to invest up to $500 for these products, you might want to change your promotion a little bit in order to break even quicker. This bluetooth method is just newer fancy spam and is similar to running bulk email campaigns, so picking up players is going to be hard. And trying to convince anyone that has ignored all the poker commercials on tv and the spam in their inbox to do an initial buy-in of $1k is going to be a tall task for the best of marketers.

My suggestion is to push the low initial buy-in of $50 which gets you a $125CPA. You could easily promote any one of the 100 games and special events the poker room has running rather than trying to run your own table in the email. A $11 satellite for a $10k payout is probably more attractive to the masses. Keep it as simple as possible is my advice.

I thought this:

Code:

was a stand alone device. If it isnt then that pretty much renders this method useless. and i guess the extender is useless if most phones can only recieve bluetooth from 100 metres away.

Man i have a sandwich shop on a busy busy main street, what kind of trouble could I get into if every car driving buy gets a txt that say Hungry? Might as well get a sandwich at Store Name?
