The Next Wave of Cryptocurrency

Gaming and crypto still hasn’t had its big breakout moment, I’m betting it’ll hit next cycle

Probably another run for BTC before an altseason, retail is still needed

Hello, may I ask where the next wave of cryptocurrency is?
Many see the next wave in real world asset tokenization, DeFi 2.0, and AI integrated with blockchain. Gaming, NFTs with utility, and CBDCs are also gaining traction. It will likely be a mix of these rather than just one trend.

Hello, may I ask where the next wave of cryptocurrency is?
The liberalization of the crypto market in the US will allow traditional financial companies not only to issue stablecoins and RWA tokens, but also their own cryptocurrencies—maybe meme coins, maybe unusual NFTs with unique structures. These coins from the traditional finance sector are likely to become mainstream.

A friend of mine wrote a book and while predicting the next wave is hard there are some things to look out for which help make the right choices. One of the most important concepts of his book is to focus on projects which are focused on generating profits. When investing in stocks this is obvious. We all know amazon, nvidia and others rise in price because they are generating profit. The same principle will apply to cryptocurrencies. Projects focused on generating profit and eventually generating profit will eventually win the race. Hope that makes sense.

Nobody knows next wave. Most hype comes after big moves not before.

Better watch where real users and devs are building not just price spikes.

Building on the idea of focusing on projects generating profits, I've seen this play out in my own crypto investments where I prioritized tokens with working products and revenue streams. One example is a supply chain management token that grew 520% in 6 months as it started gaining traction with major logistics companies. The key was its ability to demonstrate real-world use cases and revenue growth, which in turn attracted more investors and users. By applying this same principle to stock investing, as mentioned earlier, it's clear that profit-driven projects will ultimately outperform hype-driven ones in the long run.

no one knows

and anyone who tells you they know is either guessing or trying to sell you something

there’s no “next wave” map that insiders secretly have. crypto cycles are narrative driven and unpredictable. by the time something looks obvious, the real move already happened.

also, stop looking at it only from a “what will 10x” angle.

btc isn’t some magic profit machine. it doesn’t produce cash flow, it doesn’t generate earnings. it’s not a company.

it’s money.

and more specifically, it’s a hedge against monetary debasement. it protects you from inflation and government currency manipulation. that’s the core idea.

if you treat bitcoin like a lottery ticket, you’ll get rekt.
if you treat it like long term monetary insurance, you’ll understand it better.

before chasing the “next wave”, read The Bitcoin Standard.

most people jump into altcoins without even understanding what problem bitcoin was created to solve in the first place.

It all depends on Trump, what tariffs he imposes, who he attacks, and so on. It's hard to predict what this guy will do. Of course, we'd like to see a good alternative season, but so far there's no sign of it.

Yes absolutely after a lot of dip from last year until this early year.

Most people chase waves like they're catching a bus, but by the time u see the crowd at the stop, the driver already left. I spent 2021 chasing gaming tokens and got burned because I ignored where the actual liquidity was flowing. The biggest mistake is thinking the next cycle looks like the last one.

Stop guessing niches and watch where the actual fees are being generated. If a protocol has real users paying real money to use it, that's where the floor is. Everything else is just recycling narratives until the exit liquidity dries up.
