Reading up on some articles and found an article about JP Morgan taking a crack at their own cryptocurrency, somewhat old news but still could be big. What does this world think? will this take off or is there another coin that can stand by the likes of bit and lite?

No. Traditional crypto's have thrived because they are decentralized.. If there was a company to issue coins, manipulate money supply and the public ledger... Only a fool would buy into that. At least you know what you are getting into with bitcoins, as they are coded to be deflationary.
Thats exactly what i was thinking, it sort of defeats the whole crypto purpose, but then again i feel the normal investor whos not into bit and such now could be drawn to it's "professionalism" and held away from the more decentralized currencies.
I think Vertcoin has a good chance of being the next big coin.
With Scrypt-Asics coming out, and the litecoin dev most likely not
planning on switching the algo, Scrypt-N and Scrypt-Jane will be where
the GPU miner run to.
