The newbie conspiracy?

Is it just me or is it an influx of noobs that seem to already have knowledge coming in this room. LIke they been in here before and they already know what the room is about. My theory is that some of them are using different proxies because they were previously banned, or, they are setting up a scam.

Notice the questions are always something about something people could use. Here is an example:

Q: I got a million free domain names what shall I do with them?

To me these kind of questions is a slick way to get around forum rules and have people pming and make back room deals without actually posting a service. Clever huh?

Am I just being a conspiracy theorist or is this a scam happening in here? I haven't read anything from mods on it, but, the last couple of days this been on my mind.

Note the noob may have a post count of 1,lol.

Yep I've noticed too, a lot of them make a few posts first to make themselves seem legit but they are fairly easy to spot

yes, especially those around for a long time and get banned over a dollar. I don't see how they would manage without coming here still.

Personally I am pretty addicted to this place. If I got banned I think I would go crazy. Has anyone looked for an alternative to this place? I don't think there is anything close and if all that was open to me is WF then, erm, bleh.

Going back to the original point I have had similar thoughts that there are too many knowledgable newbs coming in and trying to bend the rules. Trouble is, whenever I have tried to point it out I have been flamed. Maybe it is up to more established guys to close ranks a bit and start protecting ourselves and 'our' forum.

Same here...mind you, I did report a post the other day and the mods removed the thread...will need to check if the member is still active as he certainly had a lot to say for himself!!!

Thing is, just because you have only just signed up, doesn't mean you are really a noob in terms of experience. They could have been lurking for a year. There are just some that you think "yeah you've been here, done this, got the t-shirt and got banned"

Yeah exactly and the ones who would benefit from doing deals under the radar would be those who have been banned for scamming in the past. Like I said guys, we should close ranks and watch out for each other before this forum goes down in a big pile of newbie scammy dog poo.

I have to agree with you. I am also among the "noobs" but still think there should be tighter rules to prevent this becoming like other forums we all know. On the other hand I don't think there is a need to worry since Harro mentioned the forum would be becoming stricter soon so I am sure they have stuff under control as always .

I'm in two minds about this as, if the rules had been stricter when I joined, then I probably wouldn't have got in!!

Scams aside for a mo, the site seems to have become rather juvenile in places and, I'm not talking about people having a laugh, but the fact that if you dare to disagree you are flamed for it!!

Im a noob here and I hate the fact that there are so many post spammy, product touting noobs. I get pms from people I have never seen. or talked to, I see posts asking questions that could EASILY be answered by a search.

Im all for people wanting to learn and everyones got to start some where. But for gods sake, if you cant operate simple forum procedures how the hell do you expect to make any money online?

This place is worth so much. As stated in a previous thread, having a paid section for people who are serious is a great idea.

I would rather exchange knowledge with and ask questions to people who are

a)Seriously interested in IM
b)Intelligent
c)Experienced

then spend all day filtering though posts from people who will never accomplish anything online because they are too busy posting here and thinking how "cool" it is that they are a "bad azz black hat".

Dont get me wrong. BHW is without a doubt the best IM resource I have ever found on the internet, I love the community, and the amount of quality information and software is staggering.

I just think it is capable of more in terms of quality and I think the best way to do that is with a tier based system. Let those people who dont know shit post garbage all day on one level, then have another level for people who actually care.

Maybe thats too much for a noob to say. I'll apologize in advance if I've offended anyone or if im simply too ignorenet to understand why/how the forum functions.

Know what else I have been noticing? Noobs responding to noobs posts, more n more experienced players are just ignoring the crap threads and flocking together. Noobs n non-noobs are segregating. Might be an anthropological thing but I'm sure it's got more to do with the lack of quality of some of the noob posts

I'm a noob and hopefully I won't ask too many stupid questions, I just tend to do alot of reading and keep to myself while waiting for inspiration to hit... I just wish inspiration would hurry the #$%@ up

Inspiration doesn't hit you if you just wait for it, go searching, you can find it anywhere

HaRRo already made an announcement of an upcoming big ban hammer that is going to chop the head of 1000+ of members, can't wait to see it happening
