Do you think PR mentions are slowly becoming a new signal for AI visibility - not exactly a ranking factor, but a cue for AI models when deciding which sites to surface in their responses?
Has anyone here started experimenting with this approach yet?

They’re not a signal in the ranking factor sense, but they act as training breadcrumbs.

AI models and retrieval layers use co occurrence patterns + brand + topic + authority domain to decide which entities feel reliable. PR mentions help because they create structured repetition across trusted contexts.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. PR mentions seem to act more like trust cues for AI models, not direct ranking signals, but they definitely help visibility. I’ve been testing it lately, and the results look promising so far.

That’s a really good way to put it and it makes sense how repeated mentions across authority sites can train AI models to recognize trust and relevance even without it being a ranking factor.

I think pr mentions are definitely starting to influence ai visibility even if indirectly. AI models seem to favor brands or sources with strong mention patterns across trusted sites, so building pr signals can help your pages appear more authoritative in AI responses.
Yes, AI systems seem to lean toward brands with consistent visibility and mentions and now it's more about how often your name shows up in credible contexts.

That's interesting and Are you noticing stronger results from branded mentions or full-featured PR articles?

I do have noticed that once your name keeps popping up around certain topics, it’s like the AI starts connecting the dots and trusting your content more

You are right and interestingly, they also seem to strengthen an entity’s semantic footprint, making it easier for AI systems to connect your brand with relevant topics in future queries

mentions everywhere work because you train the robots to think you're legit by showing up consistently
