The most frustrating loop on the internet

So, you decide to log into that abandoned account you haven't touched in a while. First guess on the password? Correct...wait no, it was incorrect. You try the password with the first letter capitalized. Nope. You try the one with a number at the end. Guess again, incorrect.

Fine. You're left with no choice but to go through the motions of the “reset password” charade. You wait on the email, click the link, and enter a new password.

And then you get hit with the most soul crushing message: "Your new password cannot be the same as your current password."

This makes me want to smash my computer, no joke. Please, for the love of God, tell me I’m not the only one who is completely driven mad with this nonsense.

It gets even worse when you realise that you used an old domain email at a domain you do not own anymore, well life is learning constantly.

That really sucks. Once the domain email is gone you basically lose access to the account completely. You can’t even get the reset link. And support won’t believe you at all. So your old account basically just goes to empty. I guess you have to learn the hard way.
