The morons at Amazon suspended me

Last night I signed in from my university network and today I got an email:

"This message is to inform you that we have blocked your Amazon.co.uk seller account. Your open listings have been cancelled and you are no longer able to sell on our site.

We have taken this action because it has come to our attention that this account is related to an account which has been previously blocked for violations of our Participation Agreement.

While we do not provide detailed information on how we link related accounts, we have thoroughly reviewed our records and have confirmed we have significant evidence that this account is related to a previously blocked seller account.

While we appreciate your interest, please understand that the closure of an account is a permanent action. Any subsequent accounts that are opened will be closed as well. Thank you for your understanding of our decision."

I replied with an appeal and they just said the decision is finala nd wont be changed.

This is just wrong, this is my first account here, its just unfair, is there any way I can open my account again?

its infuriating to get such a decision and then they declare it permanent without even giving you a chance to explain.

Anyone else here been in the same situation, HOW DO I GET MY ACCOUNT BACK =(

Please be assured that your account has been reviewed by Amazon staff, and we have determined that it will not be reopened. As previously stated, your Amazon.co.uk seller account has been closed, as it has come to our attention that this account is related to a previously blocked seller account.

The closure of an account is a permanent action. Any subsequent accounts that are opened will be closed as well. Thank you for your understanding with our decision. Any funds that were in your account at the time of closure are on temporary hold pending the resolution of your sales. Funds are generally held for 90 days and will be released minus any unresolved chargebacks or A-to-z claims filed against your account.

Please note that we will be unable to provide further information and that further correspondence on this matter will not be answered.

looks like im pretty much f*cked.. i found that the ebook amazon stealth might be able to help me out, does anyone have it? or does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do in this case?

Is your account linked to a blocked account? Have you logged on from a different computer that could be linked to a blocked account?

If you're blocked, you're blocked. Set up a new account from scratch: new name, new IP, new address. At least you've done all the legwork finding products and sources.
 
I hope you get to somehow work this out. I am going to Uni quite soon myself hence it would be interesting to find out if you manage to find some kind of a solution. I personally wouldn't want something like this to happen to myself or anyone else for that matter. It would be awesome if you could let us know how the case goes and if you manage to solve the problem. Good Luck!
 
ya that sucks that they banned you. they are putting the ban hammer down now on alot of accounts.
 
Its not just frustrating, its really very very devastating. I know the feeling very well as I had some similar problem with ebay. I don't know--why they do not give any warning before doing this, they never think of the hard work a seller does everyday to reach a certain status and within 1 day they just ruin everything! They never give a right way to solve this or explain our part.
I don't know how people are approving this for years! What can I do against this kind of act? this actually force us to open stealth and go the wrong way.
 
I hate it when a shit hole blocks your source of revenue then all what you get after is canned responses. IF they just lookup the ip they will realize it is a public place where everyone can log in.
 
Unfortunately, Amazon is a company that's known to stick to decisions once they are made. They won't be unblocking you, regardless of how many e-mails you send, regardless of the content of those e-mails. Sorry.

I agree that a completely new account is needed, that is, if you even want anything more to do with Amazon after this experience with them.
 
guys what you mean by stealth new account? If you use diffrent name how can you cash checks?
 
Oh man this is been already to me before. My uni at home had person scammed amazon now anyone who used the uni to login get banned. Amazon cares not.

Find amazon ceo kids name, buy .eu in kids name , his name, wife, parents etc... Then place adwords for the name's and BAM you get attention in 1 week.

They dirty play you dirty play
 
sucks.. looks like amazon will stick with their decision even though its completely wrong, as nettle mentioned its things like this that force ur clean and whitehat buyers to go blackhat or ghost or stealth or however its stated.


BTW.. what if I get another IP and get another bank account but my name and address stay the same.. will that get me banned again?
 
same here. my friend signed on from my location and his seller account got instant banned since my account was already banned.. its really stupid i must say.. this just means you have to have a clean static IP address or what not..

i have another friend thats forced to sign on from proxies just to avoid this flagging... any other solutions?

They probably suspended you because of the IP address. Most likely someone else using the same IP was suspended and when you logged in their system automatically associated you with the same IP. I know it really sucks but try to open another account and don't log in from the university in the future.
 
I love the way these companies take on the policies of Google where they dont explain anything, dont listen to your complains, send you a bunch of CANNED responses and act like once your banned its forever. Lousy business model.
