They Scrape.
Yes I know that's part of the game and everything, but it should be done with leads that can't even be contacted or anything for that matter.
This thread is just to proof that cpa networks in general scrape leads and sales even though they are legit.
I'm not here to out any network whatsoever but the goal is to teach people what networks do.
Obviously, the best way is to skip the middleman and go directly with the company providing the services, this way you increase revenue and can even get into better deals than what the cpa networks offer.
FIRST, I haven't tested ALL networks out there but I tested with the biggest ones out there and if they do this, I wonder what the smaller ones do.
Ok so, this is what I did:
1. Started an offer in one of the small cpa networks
2. Each lead received was verified if we could offer the services they were looking for.
3. In total we got 1,093 verified leads that were delivered to CPA Network Offers.
4. The results came in.
Before we continue, I have to say that for every offer we sent the leads, we already knew exactly what they were asking for as well as zipcode locations and so on.
We had a pretty good grasp at what we were doing as we already had the specific requirements of each cpa offer we sent the leads.
So, results came in.
For some reason, we saw that the same "average leads credited" was the same through all days we sent them.
In total we sent 1,093 leads already qualified by my call center and I was shocked to see the results:
That's right, from the 1,093 leads we had qualified, only 621 were credited and paid by cpa networks.
Obviously, we tracked every lead credited and non-credited and then contacted the leads that weren't credited and to our surprise some of them (around 13% of the 472 leads not credited) had purchased the product sold by the advertiser!
This meant that SOME leads that ACTUALLY purchased the advertiser's product were NOT credited by the cpa networks.
Sure, some say it's technical problems or delays, but still this is just plain scam when you see that daily only around 53% of leads (previously qualified leads) get credited.
I won't reveal the advertisers, cpa networks or offers I tried, but I have to say that this is just ridiculous and happens with ALL offers.
Call it what you want, I just presented real evidence that cpa networks CAN and WILL (NOT ALL OF THEM) scrape you.
The lack of leads credited could have easily turned a negative ROI PPC campaign into a winning campaign and advertisers could enjoy more profits. Not sure why they do this, but they do it.
Just in case, skip the cpa networks and go directly to the advertisers to skip the middleman and any problem with scraping.
Let the discussion begin!
PS: I bought traffic to "hide" the fact that I was sending leads directly. I was paid by networks as the leads were real though.
