This is my attempt at one of those "inspirational" posts. My younger brother developed a pretty solid grasp on technology at a pretty young age. Ever since he was 13 or so I've noticed that his design skills had already outweighed mine and over the years I've had him help me out with some of my projects time to time like throwing together landing pages or plastering the social internet with links. I always felt like he was a bit misguided in his own endeavors though, but I realized that his skills are worth serious dollars and I don't think he understood that. Not too long ago, I sent him a link to bhw to see if it would stir anything inside his head and it looks like it worked! Exactly 3 days ago he put up a blog that he intended to monetize and has already had several conversions which have the potential to be recurring. Here's how he did it - and yes I have his permission to share this with you guys (it's not exactly rocket science) 1) Get a wordpress blog up and ready for posting. I recommend using a domain that's a little aged for faster indexing and such. 1a) Get the all in one seo plugin and a nice adsense placement plugin. 2) Sign up at GPT sites that have a good reputation for being honest with their payouts, you will be referring users to these sites via your blog. Go for gpt sites that have a tiered referral system. You want to get paid every time someone who signed up under you completes a task. 3) Post some entries. The blog entries will be about how successful you are thanks to these awesome GPT sites. 3a) Use your blog to rave about how you are making easy money filling out offers and clicking ads. Feel free to provide fabricated screen shots of payouts and account balances. 3b) Make posts about how you finally got your xbox 360 / psp / ipod / whatever from completing offer so and so. Feel free to surf the web (ie: e*gay) to get realistic unpackaged pictures of your newly acquired "prizes". 3c) Don't waste a single post - make sure all posts have some kind of affiliate link, or ad. Don't clutter the post though. 3d) Sensationalize everything. You are the master of making money off the internet and this is your blog. Feel free to use somewhat poor grammar to make yourself look real. People with college degrees aren't going to be sigining up for gpt sites to try and get a free ipod. 4) Promote. Submit to social bookmarking sites. Download videos off entertainment sites - the raunchier and dumber the videos the better - and uplaod them to youtube. Put your blogs url in the "about" section. Go after content that high school and college students like. 5) Rinse & Repeat. Note: email submits work good with these kinds of sites as well, especially the "free laptop" email submits.
