Hi folks, I've just come across the 'Khan Academy' (KA) and I would like to share some
of my thoughts regarding it.
First and fore most, one should know that everything there is FOR FREE
but what is the KA actually?
"The Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization, created in 2006 by American educator Salman Khan, a graduate of MIT. With the stated mission of "providing a high quality education to anyone, anywhere", the website supplies a free online collection of more than 3,000 micro lectures via video tutorials stored on YouTube teaching mathematics, history, healthcare and medicine, finance, physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, economics, cosmology, organic chemistry, American civics, art history, microeconomics and computer science."

Find some one - e.g. in Fiverr, ODesk, etc ... - to make
transcripts of some of the Khan Academy's material and
put it together with some public domain illustrations in
order to be able to sell it as an ebook for Kindle.

If you are in a non english-speaking country you could also
use Khan's materials as kind of 'template' in order for you / your helpers
to create your own content in your own language
and by doing so populate your own Academy ...

In your new Academy's website you could then for example
put some modearte amount of Adsense, Banner Ads, etc ... or
just allow it to grow to an authority site and then
start selling high PR back links ...
BTW: KA is a PR 8(!) site already and has ca. 40K+ unique visitors / day
Alexa Ranking is ca. 3700 (US)!!
Now, the above thoughts have just been brain-stormed quickly and
are far beyond being exhaustive - the potential here is enormous, so
I'd be glad to see this thread growing to a place where the
potential of the this academy's concept / idea could be explored
in a more thoroughly manner ...
