The Ipod Time Saver

Did you know that you can export video from your ipod to your TV for FREE!!!

I use this trick whenever I download tutorials in video form that I just can't seem to get around to watching. This is because I am always using the computer to work instead of watching videos. Hopefully this will help those of you that have gigs of videos on your computer that you never get around to watching. Hey this will even save you some cds or DVD's on all your video viewing.

Step 1: Hook up Ipod

* You will need a camcorder a/v cable to do this for free, if you do not have one that you can purchase one for fairly cheap online *

Step 2: Convert Videos

To convert your videos to watch on your ipod I suggest CUCUSOFTS VIDEO CONVERTER. It is a drag and drop software that keeps the quality perfect.

Make sure that you go to the advanced settings, and change the output to iipodtv3 640x480. This will make the quality good enough to view even on a big screen tv.

Seems like a lot of work to watch the videos. Conversions take time.

If you want to watch videos on your TV just run the TV as your monitor. Takes less time then conversion and if you keep an extra power cord and old mouse you can merely turn off the tower, unplug it and take it to your computer. Heavier then an Ipod but less time.

Requires:

TV with monitor imput. If you don't have this why both watching videos on the TV? Any good TV will have it.

Extra power code, mouse, and monitor cable. Most people are on at least their second computer. I bet you have these in a box somewhere. Alternative is to take them with you to the TV. This makes it more work.

The conversions with this program is quick, and remember that most of these video tuorials are small.

Having them on the ipod also gives me the ability to move to another room, or even watch them in my car.
