The Instagram Warm-up Guide

Welcome to the official guide to warming up and managing Instagram accounts safely and effectively. This walkthrough provides step-by-step strategies to avoid bans, blocks, and shadowbans while building reliable Instagram profiles for Automation on Real-Devices.

Disclaimer: While this guide is designed to significantly reduce the chances of suspensions and improve account performance, occasional bans or restrictions may still occur. Instagram frequently rolls out updates that may impact account behavior. The goal of this guide is to help limit those risks and keep accounts running smoothly.

Step 1: Organize Account Credentials

Most Instagram Suppliers will Provide accounts typically in the following format:

Username | Password | Email | Email Password

To streamline the process, add all credentials into a spreadsheet. This makes it easy to copy and paste without typing each one manually, saving time and minimizing errors during login. We personally use Google Sheets and this is an image on how we label the categories:

Step 2: Screen Casting for Multi-Device Access

Managing multiple devices can be made easier with screen casting software. It allows centralized control for logging in and setting up accounts across various devices. Some platforms come with this feature built-in, but for those managing 100+ devices, a dedicated third-party screen sharing app is recommended. There are a couple good ones we recommend, however, they all serve the same purpose. Here is an image of our setup:

Step 3: Logging In 8–12 Accounts/Clones Per Device

To prevent accounts from getting linked during login, it’s critical to use a unique IP address for each session. You can achieve this using two methods:

1. SIM Card Method:

If each device has its own SIM card, toggle airplane mode on and off to refresh the network and assign a new IP.
After logging into one account, toggle airplane mode before logging into the next. This ensures each account is logged in from a different IP, even if they share an IP afterward. The key is to avoid logging in multiple accounts from the same IP at once.

Screen Shot 2025-04-08 at 7.57.14 PM.png

2. Proxy Method:

Use a 4G proxy with a compatible proxy app to manually rotate IPs between logins. Connect the proxy to your app, then rotate the IP through your provider’s dashboard before each new login. This avoids account linking by ensuring each account appears to originate from a different IP.
For larger-scale operations (e.g., 100+ devices), the proxy method is often the preferred route.

Step 4. Warmup Settings

Day 1: Login + (10-15 Story Views)
Day 2: Story Views (10-15)
Day 3: Story Views (10-15)
Day 4: Story Views (10-15)
Day 5: Change Username + Story Views (MUST TURN PROXY ON, ROTATE EVERY ACCOUNT)
Day 6: Change Name + Story Views (MUST TURN PROXY ON, ROTATE EVERY ACCOUNT)
Day 7: Change Bio/Profile Picture + Add Pictures (1 Per Day) + Story Views (MUST TURN PROXY ON, ROTATE EVERY ACCOUNT)
Day 8: 5 Follows
Day 9: 6 Follows
Day 10: Rest
Day 11: Rest
Day 12: 7 Follows
Day 13: 8 Follows
Day 14: 9 Follows
Day 15: 10 Follows
Day 16; Rest + Add Link in bio (1 Link can be used across 4 Accounts):(MUST TURN PROXY ON, ROTATE EVERY ACCOUNT)
Day 17: Rest
Day 18: Account should be warmed up; Refer to New Limits Below:

At every stage, all accounts can safely share the same IP. However, it’s crucial to activate your proxy (or toggle airplane mode if you're using the SIM card method) whenever making changes to account credentials, such as username, name, bio, or profile photo. The goal here is to avoid raising red flags with Instagram by preventing them from associating multiple account modifications with the same IP, a common trigger for suspicion around automation. Instagram generally doesn’t mind if multiple accounts share one IP and perform standard actions like liking posts or viewing stories, as that’s typical behavior on a 4G network. The concern arises when they detect bulk profiling actions from a single IP. That’s why, whenever this guide mentions rotating the proxy, simply open the proxy app, enable the proxy, make your changes, and then disable it afterward before continuing with your usual actions. Keep in mind that every setup is different, some agencies may see varied results, so it’s always best to test and adjust based on your own experience.

Post-Warmup Limits:

what is the name of step2's screen sharing app? And screens in step2 are all from one moile phone?

Alright, this is different. Easy enough to follow, well structured, has visuals for clarity, and with room to mix and match different tools to see what might work better than others. Bookmarked for future consideration. Good stuff!

Do you think buying let's say 50 fake followers, during the warmup of the account would have any affect afterwards?
My plan is to do that while warming up so I can run traffic to the account while it being private, then once it's been a week or so I will remove the fake followers and accept all of my new follow request.

What proxy app do you recommend

Thats fine, just make sure the accounts you use are aged. Fresh ones will need to be warmed up.

Thank you for your time writing this guide, this seems a solid warming process to follow
Thank you. Many people overlook this process and it is vital to do a warmup on every instagram account they have. One of the most vital things about instagram automation is the way you warmup the account. Many users just login, then start preforming actions right away. Instagram knows when people login from different IP addresses; however, there are certain steps you can take to keep the accounts safe.

Great guide for beginners, thanks for share. Don't forget tp use multi quote frature and don't reply one by one because it will be considered post inflation infrigement.

A solid guide for keeping accounts safe! Instagram has tightened its grip on automation, so using real devices makes a lot of sense. Have you noticed any differences in how engagement builds compared to regular warm-up methods?

Sounds good. Am I also to reference other products I use in my threads? For Example, would I be allowed to share the name of the proxy app i use, or the name of the real device software we use, or the name of the screen sharing software?

Of course! Just don't try to sell it here, via PM, or via aff link. No sells outside marketplace.
In order to sell in the marketplace you need:
- 100 post count ( excl 'Lounge' posts)
- 2 months of age for your BHW account
- JrVip membership

Are you selling those boxes?

appreciate your guide. My clients also use antidetect browser and proxy to warm up and manage multiple Instagram accounts on the same device.

Nice guide - Ig will get it pached as soon as this post gets indexed (2-3 hours).
