The Inspiration Behind Your User Name ?

I see the $$$$ in front of me - just need to catch more of it.

Green = $$$$$$$$$$

I'm always hacking at some code or device. I'm a big advocate of open source software, the ability to write your own software to run on the hardware that *you* bought. (looking at you apple) I've been in the phone flashing scene for some time and am always hacking away at one form of code project or another. I like being innovative, making things do things they weren't originally intended to, etc.

NOT to be confused with the illegal form of "hacking" aka cracking, there used to be a day that hacking was a good thing, now it's almost always associated with crime and computer security. In the end maybe it wasn't a good name after all, it's even led to a k-line on one IRC server I was a part of.

So no, I don't break into servers, however I am very conscious about security, anonymity, and freedom of the internet. I plan to have some forms of anonymous payments for my hosting/services which will be launched shortly.

My name is HALI and that's the FAXs jacks!

NO seriously,
when I was in the USAF stationed at macdill/tampa,
I would talk to mil aircraft and give'em flight level changes, hand'em off to
ATC, emergencies, stuff like that. Sometimes very late at night, maybe 2am or 3 am, I could
hear in my headset a very very faint
crackling radio call in the distance of "halifax halifax" with what sounded almost like a British accent

I always found it very "eerie" it was like a ghost call...

I assumed it was Nova Scotia.... I would on
occasion try to call out to them, but they could never here me, or they didn't
like Yanks!.... :)

and the "123" was from suffix of a handle I name I used on another forum

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Hali~!:)

Hey everybody, did the news get around
About a guy named Butcher Pete
Oh, Pete just flew into this town
And he's choppin' up all the women's meat

He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'
He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'
He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'
He just hacks, wacks, choppin' that meat

Butcher Pete's got a long sharp knife
He starts choppin' and don't know when to stop
All you fellows gotta watch your wifes
'Cause Pete don't care who's meat he chops

Ever since Peter flew into town
He's been havin' a ball
Just cuttin' and choppin' for miles around
Single women, married women, old maids and all

Wakes up in the morning, half past five
Chops from sunrise to sunset
I don't see how he stays alive
Meat's gonna be the death of ole Pete, yeah

The police put Pete in jail
Yes, he finally met his faith
But when they came to pay his bail
They found him choppin' up his cell mate

That Butcher Pete is a crazy man
Tries to chop down the wind and the rain
Just hacks on anything he can get
Say, turn this record over, you ain't heard nothing yet

(In case anyone's wondering... No, I've never played Fallout 3; I just like that kind of music ;) )

Saw this username once in a Ragnarok Game long ago and I thought it was pretty cool. So I got my username inspired from there.

yeahhhhhh! turntablism FTW. My faves would be Invisibl Skratch Piklz, Kid Koala, Pepe Deluxe, Rob Swift, Cut Chemist, DJ Ghetto, you get the idea. anybody who was on those Return of the DJ compilations.

Word up! Wavetwisters and Kid Koala FTW!

Basic science. Thunder and lightning could be simultaneous and loud except for the Flash that's so fast that the thunder is temporarily silent. Therefore, I g o s l ow f a s t ..., and then I drop it like its hot.

I used a nickname generator, not the best out there I must admit. :D

One of my high school jobs was at a packaging/assembly plant. Most of the machines had multiple stations and each station had a name, "the stapler," "the foldover," "the sealer," and whatnot. If you weren't particularly good at any of the stations on a machine you'd usually end up being "the runner" or "runaround" meaning you were supposed to feed the guys working the stations consumables and parts, wrap finished palettes, and so on. I wasn't a particularly good runner so I started getting referred to as "the problem," "the reason we're not making a bonus," "walkaround," and "the jake." Pretty soon the other guys who weren't good runners started getting called "the jake" instead of the runaround guy. Later I went back to do database development for the same company, the managers remembered me and why a bad runner was "the jake" on a line and the guy who owned the company and his family thought it was hilarious that the guy responsible for one of their shop floor idioms was up in the offices and called me that all the time.

My favorite game. Here's another beautiful song. Get out of here, and get me some money too.
