The Inspiration Behind Your Avatar?

Mine is Groo the Wanderer.

He is a well meaning guy, a soldier of fortune who never seems to get the fortune. Groo tends to go blindly forward, hacking and slashing (which he is very good at) at whatever the problem is, usually with a clear plan of attack, but without a clear understanding of what the hell is going on. He succeeds too, but doesn't always recognize success when he achieves it.

Sorta like me and IM.

I've always wondered about yours.
That's a great anecdote and a reference which I've never come across. Groo the Wanderer.
I like it!

Guess mine?

You? Anne Hathaway? I don't know... I guess I need to work on my guessing.

Original BHW logo...sort of a homage to BHW, which has taught me so much.

That was the original BHW logo? From how long ago? I see that you joined in 2011 (which was before me), so I wasn't around in the days before the black/gold globe scheme.

Grab the world and be free

I hate the guy so that's what it's all about right there.

I just changed mine today. Had the same avatar for the past 2 years. I chose it because it represents my creativity, and my eye for seeing things from different perspectives.

Mine is the adopted colors of the rastafarian faith and the colors of he Ethiopia flag. I belive in the way of life of rasta and try to live that myself. Although I fail at the diet, not smoking pot (my own choice) and other things but most of all you give me respect for no matter what I look like and I will give it right back. Lets work together and not against each other. Never get that concept!

Bless up!

Mine Is Letter S,
As My Name Starts With S.....

I was a tank commander on the East/West German border and in Desert Storm.... which pretty much explains that pic. Plus, it's extremely gratifying shooting stuff; and particularly fun running over shit like cars, trees, people shooting at you or pretty much anything that pissed you off. Sixty three tons of M1A1 rarely loses an argument...

You sound like you must have a plethora of interesting life stories... I'd read your autobiography for sure.

Adopt a way of thinking not for the restrictions to your personal life but for the values it affirms! I like it.

One of the more colorful and interesting looking logos I've seen.
Myself, MuScLeTeeN...
The great and almighty muscleteen has graced us with his presence! All bow!
Science BITCH!
I love that show. It's in a league of its own, and these last few episodes are living up to expectations for sure!

It's epic for sure. My favorite of all time was Sopranos but this season, especially this last half of season 5 had pretty much got me leaning to BB.

Sopranos is next on my list. I've never really been one for TV shows but in the last year or so I've been introduced to a few gems. Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and (on the complete opposite side of the spectrum) Arrested Development.
I'm sure there are more but I don't have much free time these days. I'm sure I'm not alone in that!

Edit: Also I've recently discovered It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia! I haven't seen much but it seems funny.

It reminds me of the most beautiful copy I ever heard. Don Draper from Mad Men is giving a pitch to the execs of Kodak. He wants to change the name of the prototype Kodak carousel. Only the execs have been calling it the Kodak wheel. Don Draper uses the carousel (with the old cine-screen) to show the execs old pictures of his family. Don is currently having a hard time deciding wether he should stay with his wife and family or flee with the woman he is having an affair with. That and Don Draper is a legend!

"Nostalgia - it's delicate, but potent. Teddy told me that in Greek, "nostalgia" literally means "the pain from an old wound." It's a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone. This device isn't a spaceship, it's a time machine. It goes backwards, and forwards... it takes us to a place where we ache to go again. It's not called the wheel, it's called the carousel. It let's us travel the way a child travels - around and around, and back home again, to a place where we know are loved."

My avatar is me trying to act cool..... aaah my life story
