The importance of upfront payments

Hey guys, i've got a small question..

How important are upfront payments? will it be worth it for me to write articles without them? because i don't live in the US, and i'm underage, so they can't give me any upfront payments and i want to know if i should go for it anyways..

It is very important. It takes a 1000 views to get a 1.40 on AC. That is a lot of REALLY GOOD articles. The upfront payment is the way to go. I've read on the other AC threads that if you register with a US IP you should be ok. I would do everything with a US IP even with submitting articles.
